Qinglian Expressway is the first large-scale mountainous first-class highway transformation project in China. It won the first prize of Science and Technology Award of China Highway Society. It has a total length of 216 kilometers and a total investment of 6.131 billion yuan. It was opened to traffic in January 2011. Due to the intersection of various construction technology issues and construction management issues, there is no similar successful experience in China to learn from, and it is called the "encyclopedia" of highway construction management by experts.
