The cargo vehicles which traffic on the expressways in toll collection inter-network area of northern Guangdong ( include Jingzhu Expressway Northern Section, Guangshao Expressway, Guangcong Expressway, and Qinglian Expressway) and the areas of Qingyuan city and Shaoguan city, have been conducted trial implementation of toll-by-weight since 1 November 2009. The rates are as follows:

1.Those no-loaded trucks or light-loaded trucks which meet the standard shall adopt a one-class-lower toll rate.

2.Those trucks which are normal-loaded or less than 30% over-loaded shall adopt the original rate.

3.While those trucks which are more than 30% over-loaded shall adopt the rate that for the normal-loaded portion and the portion within 30% over-loaded, be tolled at the original rate and for the portion over 30% over-loaded, be tolled at an additional rate of 4% on top of the original rate for each 1% exceeding the 30% limit.
